Nothing Ear 3a launched with built-in audio recording, AI transcripts, and stronger ANC
- Nothing launched its new Nothing Ear wireless earbuds on July 7 for $99, introducing Audio Snapshot to record "audio moments" directly to the buds' built-in flash storage.
- Positioned between the entry-level Ear and flagship Ear , the new Nothing Ear features upgraded 12mm drivers for deeper bass and improved ANC up to 45 dB with a new pink color option.
- By pinching both Nothing Ear, users activate Audio Snapshot to save up to two hours of audio to 32MB of onboard storage; recordings sync automatically to the Nothing X app for editing and transcription.
- While the charging case provides up to 42 hours of total battery life, call recordings are constrained to two hours by storage limits; Participants are notified when a recording is active for privacy.
- Nothing also released the budget Nothing Phone in the UK, Europe, and India alongside the Nothing Ear; the earbuds are available now on Nothing's website with Amazon availability expected soon.
