Glamorgan Cricket Club have announced that their captain Sam Northeast will leave at the end of the season, and rejoin Kent on a two-year deal. Family reasons are at the heart of the decision, according to Northeast, who is 35 years old, father of a baby since the beginning of the year, and has played for Morgannwg for four seasons.

Kent Cricket have announced that former Club Captain Sam Northeast will come home to Kent and re-join the county from Glamorgan at the start of the 2026 season, on a two-year contract with option of a third.
