North Korea is sending 5,000 people and 1,000 deminers to the Kursk region, Russian news agencies reported, citing Sergei Shoigu, head of Vladimir Putin's security council, after traveling to Pyongyang. The Guardian reports that the British Ministry of Defense says that of the 10,000 North Korean soldiers previously sent to fight against Ukraine, 6,000 have been injured, while the South Koreans say 600 have died.
