No trains will be running between Rotterdam and Utrecht during the entire evening rush hour due to a broken overhead line between Gouda and Woerden. Two trains are stranded; a total of around 350 passengers are stuck. The NS expects that the trains between Rotterdam and Utrecht will not be running until at least 19:00.

At Gouda Goverwelle station, an overhead line is broken, preventing trains from travelling on the track. Two trains from Utrecht to The Hague have been stranded as a result, both rail operator ProRail and NS have confirmed. The carrier reports that a total of around 350 people are on board. They are being taken back to an earlier station by two evacuation trains. From there, they can continue their journey via a different route.
