- E. coli O157:H7 can cause severe gastrointestinal illness, and consumers are urged not to cook or consume the burgers but to discard or return them and contact a healthcare provider if unwell.
- No illnesses have been reported so far, the CFIA said, and it is verifying that Loblaws is removing No Name products from Zehrs and Great Canadian Superstore.
- The CFIA is asking people to check their freezers for the affected brand and the recall notice said, `Food contaminated with E.coli may not look or smell spoiled, but can still make you sick.
