N.J. man who sexually assaulted child under 13 now faces 25+ years behind bars

A 53-year-old Plainfield man has been convicted of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13 who was an acquaintance, prosecutors said. Following a two-week trial, a jury convicted Jose Miranda on Thursday of aggravated sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child and sexual assault, the Union County Prosecutor’s Office said.
