N.J. hospital fined $2.5K a day for months over dangerous health violations
A hospital in Hudson County that is emerging from bankruptcy has been fined $247,500 by the Department of Health for months of infection control violations. In an April 17th letter to Dr. Marie T. Duffy, the CEO for CarePoint Health Christ Hospital in Jersey City, state health officials said inspectors found the deficiencies in June after receiving a complaint “concerning patient care.”
