Nintendo Switch Online added three SNES games, including Mario & Wario's first official release outside Japan, bringing the Western SNES library total to 77 titles.
- On October 8, Nintendo Switch Online shadowdropped three SNES titles: Mario & Wario, Bubsy in: Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind, and Fatal Fury Special.
- Mario & Wario was developed by Game Freak before Pokémon and was released only in Japan on the Super Famicom.
- Players control Wanda with the Super Famicom Mouse to guide Mario through 100 obstacle-filled levels while Wario obstructs Mario’s vision by placing objects on his head.
- The additions automatically appear in Nintendo Switch Online subscribers’ SNES library in the West, raising the catalogue to 77 games included in the basic Switch Online tier.
- The update continues Nintendo's periodic releases with Bubsy, re-released last month in The Purrfect Collection, now available on Switch Online without extra cost.
