- Nigerian Foreign Minister Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu reported Nigerians are being "harassed" and "looted," while about 856 of nearly 1,000 citizens registered for evacuation have already returned home following April deaths.
- Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu cautioned against hasty retaliation, stating, "We cannot suspend diplomatic relations now until we carry out our investigation and establish the facts," a position the majority supported.
- The House resolved to engage the African Union, the Southern African Development Community , and the United Nations to demand an independent, internationally monitored investigation ensuring perpetrators face justice.
