- Foreign Affairs Minister Yusuf Tuggar led a delegation including senior officials from the foreign and defence ministries to meet Ibrahim Traoré, Burkina Faso junta leader, in Ouagadougou at President Bola Tinubu's request to resolve the issue peacefully.
- The NAF C-130 made a force landing in Bobo Dioulasso following technical issues two weeks ago, and the crew landed at the nearest airfield for safety under international aviation protocols.
- Speaking to reporters, Tuggar said, `We clearly dissociate ourselves from those comments and express our sincere regrets to the government of Burkina Faso,' after the talks.
- The minister reaffirmed Nigeria's commitment to sustained dialogue, regional solidarity and enhanced cooperation to address shared security challenges, praising Burkina Faso's counter-terrorism successes with regional partners.
