On the 9th, Hyogo Prefectural Police arrested Takayoshi Tachibana, leader of the political group "Party to Protect the People from NHK," on suspicion of spreading false rumors on social media about Hideaki Takeuchi (then 50), a former prefectural assembly member who passed away in January of this year, in connection with the whistleblower document issue in Hyogo Prefecture.
On the 9th, the Hyogo Prefectural Police Second Investigation Division arrested Takashi Tachibana, leader of the political group "NHK Party," on suspicion of defamation for spreading false information about Hideaki Takeuchi, who resigned from his position as a Hyogo Prefectural Assembly member in November last year and passed away in January this year. It is believed to be unusual for defamation charges to be filed after the victim has died.
