NFL Week 4 Injury Report: Justin Jefferson, Aaron Donald Out; Nico Collins in; Terry McLaurin Suffers Injury
Houston will get Nico Collins back, while Justin Jefferson, Aaron Donald and Christian Gonzalez are ruled out for Week 4.
- On Friday, Houston Texans wideout Nico Collins practiced fully and is set to return for Sunday's home game against the Dallas Cowboys after a two-game hamstring injury absence.
- Without Collins, Houston went 0-2 against the Cincinnati Bengals and Indianapolis Colts, with the offense averaging just 11.5 points per game compared to 31 in the season opener.
- Coach DeMeco Ryans said, "Everyone understands and knows the type of player Nico is," noting that defenses must adjust to Collins as an explosive playmaker on the field.
- Linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair was ruled out for the Texans, while Dallas coach Brian Schottenheimer told reporters Friday the Cowboys have prepared a specific plan to defend against Collins.
- Sitting at 0-3, the Texans face a borderline must-win game to keep playoff hopes alive; only the 1992 Chargers reached the postseason after starting 0-4.
