Wall St opens lower as oil jump, high yields fuel inflation concerns
The New York stock market opened lower on the 8th (local time) due to pressure from rising Treasury yields and international oil prices. According to the U.S. economic news outlet CNBC, as of 9:57 a.m. on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the Dow Jones 30 Industrial Average was trading at 51,164.63, down 15.24 points (0.03%) from the previous trading day. The Standard & Poor's (S&P) 500 index fell within 21.71 points (0.28%).
