New York Governor Josh Hochlin officially announced on Monday (June 22) the formation of a special survey committee to assess the feasibility of a joint bid by New York City and Lake Placid to host the 2042 Winter Olympics. This is also the next Winter Olympics year that the International Olympic Committee is currently opening up for bidding.
