New York City FC fans can officially save the date. The club will play its first match at Etihad Park, NYCFC’s soccer-specific stadium being built next door to Citi Field in Queens, on July 17, 2027.

The delayed opening of New York City FC’s Etihad Park has been scheduled for July 17 next summer. Team CEO Brad Sims made the announcement at a Major League Soccer event in conjunction with this weekend’s World Cup final.
