The Atlantic mackerel recreational fishery has been open since April 1. Fisheries and Oceans Canada notes that 2025 brings some important new rules. Since 2025, there is no longer a minimum size for the possession of mackerel, so it is permitted to keep them, regardless of their size. The daily limit is 20 mackerels per person. In addition, a new regulation only authorizes one fishing line per fisherman, with a maximum of three hooks per line.

On May 20, the Municipality of Tadoussac began distributing the parking stickers for the 2025 summer season. This year, an important new feature awaits residents: the old cardboard stickers are now out of date and replaced by a sticker.
