The Front de libération nationale kanak et socialiste (FLNKS) announced on Wednesday, 21 January, that it would reject the agreement on New Caledonia signed at the Elysée on Monday to unblock the political situation in the archipelago. The independent party had already opposed the Bougival agreement.
