The ReFS, short for Resilient File System, is a relatively new file system from Microsoft that was originally developed at Windows 8 times to bridge some of the limitations of NTFS. It has been used since Windows Server 2012, but not in the consumer output of the system. Installing Microsoft's operating system will no longer have to be just using the NTFS format. ReFS is a more advanced option and will soon reach version 11.

Ah, that's it, Microsoft has finally decided to bury this good old NTFS after 30 years of good and loyal services! Indeed, they have just integrated ReFS into the latest Insider versions and you're going to see it quite sleek as a file system since it can manage among other things up to 35 petabytes of data (or 35 million GB), or enough to store all the seasons of Stranger Things in 8K, including those they haven't toured yet ^^^.
