Nevada Northern Railroad Buys ‘Doodlebug’ Rail Car

The Nevada Northern Railway Museum purchased a vintage “doodlebug” rail car. The self-propelled rail car was built in 1930 by the J. G. Brill Company and most recently owned by the Colebrookdale Railroad in Pennsylvania.  Last year, the Nevada Northern launched a campaign to raise $403,000 before December 31, to cover the purchase price of the vehicle and the cost to move it from Pennsylvania to Nevada.  The railroad said the doodlebug will be u…
