Netanyahu's message came after Hamas published a third sign of life video of Israeli hostage Elkana Bohbot.

He said Hamas rejected a proposal to release half of the surviving hostages, insisting on conditions that include Israel's complete withdrawal from the Palestinian enclave.

In response, the Forum of Hostage Families, the main activist association for the liberation of Israelis detained in Gaza, again called for a negotiated solution "even if it means ending the fighting".
