- On Friday, the Nepal Army recovered six bodies from the Audit-3 tunnel at the Upper Trishuli-1 project site in Nuwakot, finding victims entangled in steel reinforcement mesh.
- Triggered by an ice-rock avalanche near the Nepal-Tibet border on August 26, The Bhotekoshi flash floods devastated northern and central Nepal, killing at least 1,410 people and leaving 6,145 missing as of Thursday.
- Nepal Army Headquarters reported that teams used grinders and gas cutters to remove the bodies, while search operations continue at Chilime, Rasuwagadhi, Langtang, Trishuli-3A, and Upper Trishuli-3B hydropower projects.
- Meanwhile, the Tribhuvan Highway and Kanti Highway connecting Hetauda with Kathmandu resumed two-way traffic on Friday after the Prithvi Highway cleared in Dhading, according to Santosh Subedi, administrative officer at the District Administration Office in Makawanpur.
- Search operations remain ongoing at Upper Trishuli-1 where the Nepal Army suspects more bodies are buried under mud, as nationwide rescue efforts have saved more than 13,756 people from affected areas.
