Gandapur Orders Probe Into Swat River Tragedy

SWAT, KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA, JUL 03 – Seventeen tourists were caught in a sudden flood caused by heavy rainfall and river diversion, with 12 deaths confirmed and multiple officials suspended for negligence, authorities said.

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has announced that a high-level committee has been formed to investigate the recent Swat tragedy, in which 14 people drowned in the Swat River.
