NDGF: Pheasant numbers look promising in North Dakota

The spring survey found stronger counts in every region, with the northeast up 43% and the southwest, northwest and southeast also rising.

The North Dakota Game and Fish Department recently completed its spring pheasant crowing count for the year. According to Rodney Gross, NDGF upland game management biologist, several positives came out of this year’s crow count.
