NCAA Division I Council Introduces Proposals for Stunt, Acrobatics and Tumbling National Championships
The NCAA Division I council has introduced proposals that would establish national collegiate championships for the sports of women’s stunt and women’s acrobatics and tumbling. Should the proposals be adopted by all three NCAA divisions, championships committees would begin work in stunt and acrobatics and tumbling in January 2026, with the first championship for each sport expected to occur during the spring season in 2027. Bear alum Charlie Larson helped Michigan win NCAA gymnastics title
Charlie Larson of White Bear Lake was a member of Michigan’s NCAA championship team in men’s gymnastics this year. The former Bears diver, 22, is a standout on floor exercise for the Wolverines, due to his extensive background in tumbling.
