Very well integrated foreigners can no longer be naturalized after three years. A law submitted by Interior Minister Dobrindt was also passed with votes of the SPD – which once voted in favour of the opposite.
The fact that immigrants received a German passport after three years has never fit the then opposition parties CDU and CSU. Now they are in government and undo the traffic light law.
