The reconstruction of the NATO airfield Büchel in Rhineland-Palatinate is expected to be significantly more expensive than previously planned. As reported by the ARD Capital Studio, the German government expects total costs of up to two billion euros. In 2024, the infrastructure at the air base in the Eifel region was estimated at up to 1.2 billion euros. According to the latest calculations, the costs could rise by up to 800 million euros. The …
