National road death toll goes up to 26

A woman in her 60s died in a road accident in Savusavu yesterday. She was a passenger in a vehicle driven by a man in his 30s. Police allege the suspect failed to negotiate a bend along the Buca Bay Road near Vatudamu resulting in the accident. The victim was one of ten passengers travelling in the four wheel drive vehicle.
