Natchitoches native wins NSU's 2025 Red Beans & Rice Cookoff

NATCHITOCHES, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - Natchitoches native Dane Terrell took home first place at Northwestern State University's 2025 Red Beans and Rice Cookoff. The cookoff was part of the 45th Annual Natchitoches-NSU Folk Festival held at NSU's campus. Terrell's entry, "Ashli's Beans," placed first in the Judges' Choice Protein Sausage Category.
