Evanna Howell, associated with Michael Jordan's 23XI Racing NASCAR team, was arrested after allegedly hitting a 77-year-old man with a golf cart at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Howell was driving the golf cart in the wrong direction, hit a curb, pushed the elderly pedestrian into a fence, and then ran him over, causing serious injuries.
She was charged with one felony count of assault with a deadly weapon causing serious injury, released on a $125,000 bond, and suspended indefinitely by NASCAR.
Howell is due back in court on June 16, and 23XI Racing has not publicly commented on the incident.
