Eight Terrorists Killed in Kalat IBOs: ISPR
KALAT DISTRICT, BALOCHISTAN, PAKISTAN, JUL 22 – Pakistan’s security forces killed four terrorists linked to the Indian proxy group Fitna al Hindustan, dismantled a hideout, and seized weapons during an intelligence-based operation, ISPR said.
- In Kalat District, Balochistan, security forces launched an operation, killing four Fitna al Hindustan militants, ISPR stated.
- May this year, Pakistan saw a slight uptick in militant attacks despite rising tensions with India, and ISPR described Fitna al Hindustan as an Indian-backed proxy network.
- On July 21, security forces carried out a sanitization operation, dismantling a terrorist hideout and seizing a large cache of weapons, ammunition and explosives.
- Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi hailed the Kalat operation as a `significant success`, and President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to the security forces.
- Looking ahead, troops remain committed to defeating threats to Balochistan, and ISPR stated they will thwart Indian-backed destabilisation attempts.
