Much of recent heavy rainfall may have been diverted from migrating to groundwater - Ground Water Canada

Thunder Bay, Ont. – Although the city was drenched by a deluge of much-needed rain earlier this week, rural well owners may still need to replenish their drinking water supply. A local provider of spring water to rural customers said drought in recent years has increased business. Heavy rainfall tends to flow into creeks and rivers or is sucked up by trees before it has a chance to migrate to groundwater. TB News Watch report
