- This suspension followed an April Department of Revenue audit that found deficiencies in Nordic's pesticide testing methods under expanded pesticide testing rules introduced last year.
- Fidelity Diagnostics, currently the sole pesticide testing lab, reports turnaround times increased from 3–5 to 7–10 days, creating supply challenges for Montana marijuana providers.
- CCD staff reported that 95% of products continue to meet the standards of the updated pesticide testing requirements, with only a limited quantity of items being recalled; however, testing delays remain the most significant challenge for the industry.
- The Montana Legislature froze marijuana licenses for production and sales this year but allows new testing labs to apply, while officials and industry continue discussions to address lab capacity.
