- In an update today , Avon and Somerset Police said Dan Norris, MP for North East Somerset and Hanham, has been further arrested on suspicion of rape, sexual assault, voyeurism and upskirting.
- Operation Bluestone began in December 2024, and Avon and Somerset Police first arrested the suspect in April 2025 on suspicion of sexual offences, including child abduction and misconduct in public office.
- Police say the fresh allegations involve the alleged rape of a second woman, sexual assault of a third woman, and voyeurism and upskirting against a number of women, with alleged offences covering the 2000s–2020s.
- The MP now sits as an independent and has refused to resign, continuing to vote by proxy in the House of Commons while a public petition has gathered more than 2,000 signatures.
- Avon and Somerset Police said they no longer actively investigate child sexual offences but continue rape and misconduct inquiries, emphasising sensitivity and offering victims updates and support.
