Blatten could always rely on himself. Now it is no longer there. A requiem to the lost village in the Lötschental in Valais.

The Lötschental is still in shock, and yet it has room for cautious optimism on the part of the authorities, but also of a local resident.

Two days after the collapse of the glacier that destroyed the village of Blatten (VS), the question of reconstruction arises. If the situation has not yet stabilized, Christophe Darbellay believes that we must give the population a perspective of the future. "Giving hope without creating false illusions is indispensable," he says.

In Gondo, the inhabitants can understand just how the Blatteners are doing. Their place was also wiped out. But there is also hope.
