Nester Hosiery plans to transfer Fox River Mills' production to its Mount Airy plant and add between 20 and 50 full-time jobs, increasing its overall workforce up to 195, of which 175 are in North Carolina.

Mount Airy-based Nester Hosiery announced last week it has acquired the majority of the assets of Fox River Mills, a sock manufacturer in Osage, Iowa. Nester will wind down Fox River’s production operations in Osage and manufacturing assets will be relocated to Mount Airy, according to the company.
