- Jan. 21, 2026, Motivair by Schneider Electric introduced the MCDU-70, a new industry-leading 2.5MW Coolant Distribution Unit now available to order globally from Buffalo, N.Y.
- GPUs powering AI Factories generate 20 to 50 times more heat than traditional CPUs, and organizations deploying AI clusters face rack power densities projected to reach 1MW and beyond.
- Engineered with dual heat exchangers and parallel filtration, the MCDU-70 maintains the 1.5 LPM per kW target and undergoes digital twin simulations and end-of-line testing for reliability.
- Deployed in multiples, the units support gigawatt-scale facility designs with six MCDU-70s providing 4+2 redundancy at 2.5MW each, aligning with NVIDIA Omniverse DSX Blueprint targeting 10MW.
- Schneider Electric's portfolio now spans CDUs from 105kW to 2.5MW, supporting colocation and hyperscale data centers globally via manufacturing hubs in North America, Europe and Asia.
