Waxahachie Mother Accused of Killing Her Two Sons | FOX 4 Dallas-Fort Worth
Authorities said corroborating evidence led detectives to charge Colleen Nichole Lemmon with two counts of capital murder after both sons were shot.
On Thursday, authorities charged 42-year-old Colleen Nichole Lemmon with two counts of capital murder following the fatal shooting of her two sons at a home in Waxahachie, Texas.
Ellis County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a 911 call at 4:13 a.m. Thursday at a home in the 900 block of Big Sky Drive, discovering two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
One victim, 21-year-old Christopher Scott Pitre, was pronounced dead at the scene; a 15-year-old boy died later at a local hospital from his injuries, with his identity withheld.
Following treatment at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, Lemmon was booked into the Wayne McCollum Detention Center; her bond is pending arraignment.
Detectives developed probable cause that Lemmon was responsible for the shooting, prompting Ellis County Sheriff Brad Norman to express sympathy to the victims' father and family in this "tragic incident.
