Morocco confirms purchase of 150 new trains

The North African country will buy 110 local trains and RER from the South Korean firm Hyundai Rotem and another 40 intercity trains from the Spanish CAF. The operation adds to the acquisition of 18 high-speed trains from Alstom for the new line Kenitra - Marrakech, whose works are in charge of the Chinese CREC. Morocco develops major investments in its rail system with the aim of preparing its infrastructure for the World Cup 2030.
