In Saxony-Anhalt, participants in illegal road races are increasingly endangering other road users. The Ministry of the Interior speaks of an increase of 18 percent in illicit race events, as reported by the Mitteldeutsche Zeitung (Friday edition) in Halle. According to this report, the police investigated 361 such cases last year, and 306 cases were pending the year before. The number of injured people has also increased sharply, from 31 to 46.
