On March 10, Rayen Fakhfakh, a student in the fifth year of medicine aged 21, came out of a long guard when he went to the Post Office to pick up a registered mail from the prefecture. "I remember that on the way, I was happy. I was finally thinking of receiving my residence permit, that it was the end of a long procedure," says the Tunisian student, who arrived on French territory at the age of 12.
Their marriage provoked a political and media beating at the end of March and today, Fadi Laraifa, the married man in an irregular situation, is under house arrest, under an obligation to leave the French territory (OQTF), accompanied by an IRTF (Prohibition of Return) of one year, with a plane ticket back to Tunisia. The prefecture of Saône-et-Loire explains in part on its decisions.
