Mississippi man will not face charges after restroom confrontation with father and daughters
The man was identified as an independent contractor, and Overstreet Properties said he is no longer affiliated with the company.
Overstreet Properties fired a Mississippi man yesterday after a viral video showed him calling 911 on a father assisting his two daughters in an Alabama women's restroom.
Last week, Oklahoma resident Tyler Brodsky checked the women's restroom was empty before entering with his daughters to help them wash their hands at a QuickTrip gas station.
Robert Buckner confronted Brodsky and called 911, claiming he shouldn't be in the women's restroom with his daughters. Pell City Police Chief Justin Cooper determined Brodsky committed no crime.
Overstreet Properties confirmed Buckner, an independent contractor, is no longer affiliated with the company. Brodsky launched a $4,000 GoFundMe to support his family and advocate for family restrooms.
The incident sparked a national debate about bathroom access for parents with young children, though the girls' mother expressed unhappiness seeing her 3-year-old crying online after the video went viral.
