- Medical exams confirmed sexual assault, and Crumity allegedly admitted to sex multiple times while giving the 13-year-old victim edibles and alcohol over about a week.
- A Childline report prompted Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Special Victims Unit and the FBI to obtain a search warrant and locate the juvenile, leading to arrests including Ronald Smith, 62, in Columbus, Georgia and a 62-year-old in New Orleans.
- The Baker Police Department posted `Our precious missing child has been found and is safe` Friday, and the Marshals Service said further arrests and charges are forthcoming.
