Body found in search for boy, 15, missing after entering lake
Emergency crews, including an underwater search team, are still looking for the boy, and police said reports that he was found are wrong.
A search is underway for a 15-year-old boy who disappeared after entering Swanholme Lakes in Lincoln on Sunday afternoon. Emergency services arrived at approximately 2.30pm following reports the teenager was in difficulty in the water.
Lincolnshire Police continue to search the area, with the Under Water Search Team assisting in the operation. The site remains closed to the public as emergency responders work at the lake.
Authorities clarified that information suggesting the boy has been found is incorrect. Police cautioned against public speculation, stating it is vitally important people do not share inaccurate details about the incident.
Officials have informed the boy's family of the situation. Emergency services expressed that their thoughts are with the family during this incredibly difficult time.
The area around Swanholme Lakes remains closed to the public while emergency services continue their work. Police indicated they will update information regarding the search when they are able.
