The Ministry of Defense's (MoD) investigation into the statements made by former Chief of General Staff Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi at NATO negotiations has been completed, the ministry told MTI on Thursday.

The Ministry of Defense has also launched an investigation into the matter, while the Tisza Party is accusing the Minister of Defense of not being pro-peace despite his statements to the public.

"The investigation by the Ministry of Defense (MoD) has determined that Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi, an expert from the Tisza Party, systematically deviated from the Hungarian government's official, anti-war stance in his official negotiations as Chief of Staff and represented a pro-Ukraine, pro-war narrative," the ministry wrote in a statement on Thursday.
