Mike Vrabel addresses possible Stefon Diggs return to Patriots
Mike Vrabel said New England is happy with its receiver room and has 12 wideouts on the roster, though he would not rule anything out.
On Wednesday, New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel told reporters the team is not currently exploring a reunion with Stefon Diggs, though he would not rule out future possibilities.
The Patriots released Diggs in March to create financial flexibility, as his base salary was scheduled to increase to $20.6 million for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
Following his departure, the team added Romeo Doubs and A.J. Brown, bolstering a receiver room now featuring 12 wide receivers competing for roster spots.
Diggs remains an unrestricted free agent, recently sparking speculation about a return to Buffalo after exchanging social media posts with former teammate Dion Dawkins.
New England is focused on maximizing quarterback Drake Maye's potential, who led the team to a Super Bowl appearance last season and is expected to thrive with the new additions.
