GREATER LONDON, ENGLAND, JUL 29 – Mia Carragher stars as Katniss Everdeen in the first live stage adaptation of The Hunger Games, set to open at a new 1,200-seat theatre in London this October.
- Amid growing anticipation, the production revealed Mia Carragher as Katniss Everdeen in July 2025, with performances starting at Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre.
- Amid a trend of book-to-stage adaptations, The Hunger Games: On Stage expands the franchise that has sold over 100 million copies and grossed more than $3.4 billion.
- Featuring extraordinary stunts and illusions, the production is designed to be immersive with live fight choreography, wire work, and illusions at the Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre.
- In response to the casting, director Matthew Dunster said `We’ve found our Katniss in Mia Carragher` after a nationwide search.
- Projections show the show will run through January or February 2026, with Lionsgate's Sunrise on the Reaping scheduled for November 20, 2026.
