A 23-year-old Southgate man died after being stabbed in a grocery store Tuesday. At 3:05 p.m. Oct. 7, Southgate police responded to the Kroger at 16705 Fort Street after receiving a call of a stabbing. They found a 23-year-old man with multiple stab wounds in the store and started rendering aid. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he died. Police in Southgate are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred inside a Downriver Kroger. The incident happened Tuesday afternoon at the Kroger near Fort St. and Pennsylvania. Police confirm a 23-year-old victim was stabbed to death. The suspect has been arrested. Witnesses say an employee was involved. Police remain on scene and are calling it an “isolated incident”.
