Metal Detector Company Announces New Technology Development Platform

On Jan. 20, 2026, Garrett Metal Detectors announced its Paragon walk-through metal detector is the first product to host software engineered with Clarity, Garrett's proprietary deep learning-based development platform.
To achieve new detection performance, Garrett expects that Clarity, developed at Garrett's Garland, Texas facility, uses deep learning to enhance capabilities previously not thought possible.
All Paragon units with software version 2.00.1 or later already include Clarity-developed improvements, and Garrett designs products in Texas under ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015, and 45001:2018.
In 2026, Garrett expects Clarity-driven developments to further enhance detection capabilities of new and existing Garrett Metal Detectors, and urges security customers to insist on genuine products.
Positioned as a strategic platform, Clarity will support Garrett Metal Detectors' software development, with Aaron Arellano saying `Clarity is a statement about Garrett's commitment to innovation.
