Met officer dismissed for texting escorts and sex workers on police phone

A Metropolitan Police officer has been sacked for using his work phone to send text messages to sex workers and escorts. PC Shabul Miah, who was attached to the North East Public Protection unit, received and sent a “significant number of text messages” to mobile numbers that were linked to sexually explicit websites between April 5 and October 12, 2024, a misconduct hearing was told.
