Mercedes-Benz is currently planning to use solid-state batteries in its series-produced electric cars before the end of this decade, said Marcus Schafer, head of development at the German premium brand, in an interview with Automobilwoche.
It opens up new possibilities when an electric car can reach around 800 kilometers on a single charge. One such car is the new and smooth-running Mercedes-Benz CLA EQ Technology.
